I am Lisa Carle, a retired U.S. diplomat turned family historian/genealogist.

My genealogical journey began in 1985, when I launched the search to identify my paternal Grandpa Paul Carle’s father.  I had limited time to devote, so it took 25 years and a DNA test to confirm that we were actually Meekers, of English, German, and Swiss paternal heritage. 

Upon retiring, I was finally able to fully indulge my passion for family history, and I devoted the past two years to full-time research, the results of which I am sharing through this website.
